Description
Llys Old Farmhouse and Outbuildings Range is an 18th-century building that features an L-shaped layout. The earlier farmhouse forms the east/west range and is located parallel to and behind the current farmhouse. The other range serves as a stables range and runs north/south at right angles to the farmhouse.
The house range is constructed from local shaley slate masonry, which is uncoursed on the south side, with light timber-framing painted black and white above. The north side includes stone and brickwork, while the east gable is made of brick. The roofs are covered with small slates, with tile ridges and hips.
The outbuildings range consists of stone on the west side and brick on the north and east sides. On the elevation facing the road, there is a dormer window nearly above a smaller lower window, a second dormer that has been opened downwards to create a tall opening, and a boarded door situated above a flight of steps. There is also a small monopitch extension at the south-west corner.
Inside the domestic part, there is a post and panel dais partition on the west side, which shows signs of two doors, along with a large chimney.
