Description
The Old Barn at Hendre, Bodynfoel, is a five-bay timber-framed barn that is positioned on a slope, featuring a significant stone substructure on its south side. The barn has horizontally boarded walls and a random slate roof arranged in graded courses with a tile ridge. The wall framing consists of two panels high, although this is hidden by the weatherboarding. There is a small lean-to on the east side and sheds on the west side.
Inside, the barn includes timber-framed cross walls and trusses, three of which have tie beams and collars, while one features raking queen posts.
