Description
Pentre Farm is an early 18th-century, two-unit lobby entry farmhouse featuring a gable end fireplace. The building is one-and-a-half storeys tall and constructed of random rubble with a slate roof. It has a brick stack at the left end and a later lateral brick stack on the right front. The front has two windows and a doorway located to the left. The dormers and lower storey windows are fitted with 2-light casements in wooden frames, and there is an additional casement beneath the eaves to the right of centre. The doorway features a brick surround with a segmental arch, a boarded door, and a gabled hood. At the rear, there is a two-storey outshut with replaced casement windows. Although not inspected in December 1996, the farmhouse is clearly a two-unit plan with a lobby entry and likely includes a central, straight stair.
