Description

1A High Street is a 3-storey building constructed of painted brick with a slate roof. The front elevation features a 2-window range and an entrance on the right side, which consists of a 6-panelled door. To the left of the entrance is a small shop window, and to the right is a 4-pane sash window. There is a passage entry located at the far left. A continuous canopy extends over the ground floor. The upper storeys have 4-pane sash windows, with the first-floor windows having cambered brick heads.

Inside, the building has exposed box-framing in the through passage on the left and in the rear wing. The side passage and rear wing also showcase square panelled framing, with thinner timbering visible in its later extension. The rear wing is noted to retain a splat baluster staircase.
