Description

18 Broad Street is an early 19th century Georgian building that forms part of a pair with 17 Broad Street in Newtown. It is three stories high and has one window. The exterior is made of colourwashed Flemish bond brick and features a gently pitched new slate roof with deep boarded eaves. The brick stacks are truncated at No 17 and new at No 18. The second floor has a shallow six-pane sash window, while the first floor of No 17 has a twelve-pane sash window. No 18 has Victorian sashes. The windows are adorned with slightly cambered gauged brick voussoirs, plain reveals, and stone sills. The ground floors feature simple shopfronts.
