Description
6 Old Church Street is a two-storey house that features a single window. It is part of a group of three houses, numbered 6, 7, and 8, located in Newtown. The building is constructed from English garden wall bond brick and has a slate roof with plain eaves. Brick stacks with new caps are present. The first and ground floor windows have six-pane Victorian sash designs, with cambered gauged brick voussoirs and plain reveals.
The doors are offset to the left on Nos 7 and 8, while No 6 has its door offset to the right. Each doorcase includes a dripboard supported by consoles. There are three-pane rectangular fanlights above the panelled doors. The carriageway between Nos 6 and 7 features a broad depressed arch made of a double row of headers. The property also has good modern gates and small paned casements with cambered header arches at the rear.
