Description
Gro Cottage is a timber-framed building with slate roofs, featuring a brick axial stack that has a square base and octagonal shafts, typical of the Vaynor Estate. The cottage has box framing with plastered panel infill and some areas of painted brick. It is one and a half storeys tall and has a three-unit plan with an axial stack. There is a baffle entry located in an added porch, and the cottage has casement windows, which were formerly fitted with latticed panes, that are topped with canopy hoods. The rear elevation also has similar windows, along with a canted bay window on the left side. Gabled dormers are present within the roof, and there is a weather-boarded outbuilding that adjoins the house to the southwest.
