Description
This L-shaped block at the rear dates from the early to mid 19th century. It has three storeys at the front and a two-storey cross range at the rear, which may have originally been similar to the cross range at No. 44, consisting of cottages with a weaving loft above. The building is constructed of rubble, with part of the front whitewashed, and features slate roofs with cut down rubble chimney stacks. The front has three windows, including several 9-pane sash windows and one cross-frame small pane casement window to the left, next to a blocked window. There are boarded doors on the ground floor and a small brick lean-to. The right gable end and the rear have blocked openings. The cross range features cambered arched ground floor openings with red brick voussoirs, while the gable end is cement rendered and includes a cut down chimney breast.
