Description

Smithfield House is a three-storey building with a symmetrical red brick front featuring three windows. The slate roof has wide boarded eaves and red brick chimney stacks at each end. The outer windows are wider on each floor, with 9 and 12 panes on the second floor, 12 and 16 panes on the first floor, and 16 panes on the ground floor. These flank a round-arched entrance that has a four-panel door and a plain fanlight above it. There are low brick walls surrounding the forecourt. The left gable end is finished in pebbledash, while the right gable end is hung with slate. The rear of the building has been modernized.
