Description
Pont Felin-newydd is a bridge featuring two main arches for the Afon Ogau and a smaller arch for the tailrace of the Felin Newydd. The main arches have spans of approximately 3 meters and 2 meters, while the arch for the tailrace has a span of about 1.5 meters.
The bridge is constructed from local slatey stonework and includes segmental arches with a corbel course on the outer curve and a cutwater. The parapet consists of thin orthostat blocks that extend outward at all four corners. Notably, the upstream parapet is shorter, as it only covers the two main arches, while the downstream parapet is extended to the west to cover the tailrace of the mill, which emerges from a culvert.
