Description
Felin-newydd is a two-storey house with two windows and a central door, featuring a two-storey wing and a side extension at the rear. The front and side walls of the rear wing are constructed from mottled yellow brickwork, while the rear wall of the extension is made of local quasi-rubble stonework, retaining some render. The house has slate roofs with generous eaves and verge overhangs on the main range. There are pairs of octagonal brick chimney stacks at each end of the front range and at the rear of the rear wing.
The front windows consist of three lights with tall iron casements in a lozenge pane style, and the centre lights have opening casements. The windows are topped with deep, slightly wedge-shaped lintels and have stone sills. A light timber front porch features a semi-glazed door. The house has blind gables on both the left and right sides. The east side of the rear wing has two replaced windows in openings that have similar lintels and sills, along with a boarded door. At the rear, there are two windows with brick arches.
The house has an L-shaped plan with the entrance and stairs located at the centre. In the room to the right, there are ceiling meat-hooks and a large hearth.
