Description

Lledrod Farmhouse is a one-and-a-half-storey, L-shaped farmhouse built of local slate masonry, dating to the 17th century and later. The house consists of a main range and a crosswing that projects forward to the left. The main range runs north/south and faces west towards the farmyard. The roof is slate and has an irregular line, with a large, tall stone chimney stack featuring 17th-century decorative ribs, now capped with modern brick. A timber-framed cross-wall remains where the main range joins the crosswing; a post of this wall is visible at the rear. The right gable is constructed of brick. The rear elevation retains its original slate walling on the left and right sides, but the central section has been rebuilt using different stone and brick.

The west-facing front elevation has two windows, including the slightly projecting gable of the crosswing on the left. A door is located in the angle of the wing, opposite the chimney. The windows are modern steel-framed. A large, modern, flat-roofed dormer has been added to the right side. Above the door is a small, iron-framed, top-hung window.

According to reports, the interior retains some wattle and daub panelling, beamed ceilings, and a wide fireplace.
