Description
This is a two-arch bridge over the Afon Morlais, constructed from local rubble masonry with ashlar voussoirs. The main arch spans approximately 7 meters and has a deep segmental shape, featuring tall thin voussoirs. Both the upstream and downstream faces have a larger projecting stone acting as a keystone. The smaller arch spans about 2.5 meters and shares a similar shape and detailing. There are large centering bearing holes at the springing line of the larger arch. The pier located in the water has starlings on both the upstream and downstream sides. The carriageway measures about 3.6 meters in width between the parapets. The parapets are tall, with the upstream side retaining original round copings, while the coping on the downstream side is mortared. The downstream parapet also returns a short distance on the south side.
