Description

This milestone, located in the grass verge outside Newhouse, is likely from the late 18th century or early 19th century and was part of the Turnpike Trust system. It is a simple, low, round-headed structure made of painted sandstone. The milestone is inscribed with the distances: "Penybont 6 miles/Presteign 11+".
