Description

This milestone, located about 500 meters southwest of Llanwenny, likely dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and was part of the Turnpike Trust system. It is a simple, low, round-headed structure made of painted sandstone. The milestone is inscribed with the distances to Builth (9 miles) and Kington (11 miles). There is a trig point positioned to one side.
