Description

This is a milestone from the late 18th century or early 19th century, associated with the Turnpike Trust. It is a simple, low, round-headed structure made of painted sandstone. The milestone is inscribed with the distances: 'Penybont 3 miles/Presteign 14+'. There is a trig point located beneath it.
