Description
Tan y Pistyll Restaurant is a cottage constructed from local slatey shale masonry, featuring a low-pitch slate roof with a tile ridge, a stone chimney, and deep eaves and verges that include timber barges and soffit boarding. The building has a T-shaped plan and a rustic columned front on the west side, which includes a tetrastyle design and a bark-clad pediment. The upper part of the columns now supports a balcony. There is a gabled wing to the north. The east elevation displays an asymmetrical gable that has been altered and extended to the left to cover a small south outshut.
The main windows on the south and east sides are casement windows made of iron, arranged in two or three lights with small panes. These windows feature timber mullions, rough lintels, and rough stone sills. The south extension includes modern fenestration and a semi-glazed door.
