Description

The building is a Post Office, dating from the mid-19th century. It features matching tall two-storey frontages with two windows, made of stucco and adorned with a band course above the first floor. The hipped slate roof has wide eaves and twin bargeboarded gables above No 1 High Street. The double-hung sash windows, which include glazing bars, are set in plain reveals. Both elevations of the shop fronts have an overall moulded cornice, curved volute brackets, and plain mullions. There is a door on the corner splay, supported by cast iron columns that hold up the upper floors.
