Description

2 Broad Street is a low two-storey building with a two-window roughcast front, possibly dating from the 18th century. The frontage was likely remade after the Old Shire Hall was sold at auction in 1831. It features a slate roof and a tall brick stack on the rear right side. The building has double hung sash windows with glazing bars. The early to mid-19th century double shop front includes panelled pilasters and three-light bowed shop windows on either side of a central boarded door, with a second recessed door on the left.
