Description
The Duke's Arms Public House, which includes an off-licence shop, features a wide, early 19th-century rendered frontage that is attached to a 17th-century building. It has an undulating slate roof with a pair of brick stacks located in the middle of the roof. The facade has two and three windows, with a two-storey bay on the left and a one-storey bay in the center. Most of the windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars and moulded reveals. The public house has a wide six-panel door located under a hood supported by brackets. There is also a yard entry that has boarded doors and a small shop front on the right, with studding and brick infill at the entry.
At the rear, there are two steep gabled ranges from the 17th century, which were formerly part of an open courtyard gallery.
