Description

6, Market Hill is a late 17th-century building of two storeys, situated on the north side of Market Hill. The front facade is plastered and painted, while the rear is timber framed. It has two windows, originally sash windows with flush frames and glazing bars, though the glazing bars are now missing. A mid-19th century shop front is present, featuring a wooden casing with pilasters and a cornice. The listing acknowledges that 6, Market Hill forms part of a group of listed buildings surrounding the Shire Hall.
