Description
Harwoods Chandlers is a building located in Yarmouth that was originally two shops but is now under one ownership with accommodation above. The northern part of the building dates from the mid-19th century and features a stucco exterior with a slate roof. It has two storeys and attics, with two windows on the front. There are two gabled dormers, each with six panes. The first floor includes a cambered 16-pane sash window on the left side and a splayed bay window with a panelled base and horns. The ground floor retains an original shopfront on the left with a moulded cornice and a plain window to the right. There is a central doorcase with pilasters and a cornice. The southern part of the building is also stuccoed and has a slate roof that is hipped to the right side. This section has two storeys and two windows, with a 12-pane sash window on the first floor and a splayed bay window with panels underneath. The ground floor features a 19th-century shopfront. The elevation facing High Street has five windows.
