Description
Llach-doll farmhouse, also known as Llach-dolt, features rubble stonework with ashlar dressings and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with four bays and has a continuous lean-to at the rear that contains services and a central stair. A central gabled and flagged porch with side benches leads to a boarded door, which has chamfered cover strips and is set in a heavy frame. The farmhouse has three-light iron casement windows in timber sub-frames, featuring monolithic pink stone lintels and label mouldings with dropped out-turned ends. There is a four-light window to the west of the porch and a two-light window at the end bay. A stack is located on the left gable end and between the third and fourth bays. The lean-to at the rear continues the roof slope at a slightly reduced pitch. Inside, there is a central larger iron-framed window for the stair and four small gabled dormers also with iron-framed glazing. Small windows are present in the gable end. The building was not accessible at the time of inspection in July 1995, but it is said to have high ceilings in the ground floor rooms and longitudinal chamfered ceiling beams.
