Description
Lloyney is a building dating from the 16th to 17th century, which underwent renovation around 1980. It is constructed of pebbledashed stone and features a slate roof. The building has one storey and an attic, with three bays and a short cross wing that projects forward at the northeast end. The layout follows a lobby entry plan, with a door located opposite the stack that heats the major room to the right. A stair is situated behind the stack, and there is a two-bay parlour positioned downhill to the left. The entrance is within a small gabled porch. The building has paned timber windows in three small gabled dormers, along with various windows at the rear and a lean-to timber porch. A blocked door has been replaced by a window. There is a part external stack at the lower gable end and a gable stack serving the cross wing. Additionally, there is a glazed conservatory in the re-entrant angle. The building was not accessible at the time of inspection in July 1995, but it is said to have cruck frames internally.
