Description
The granary and carthouse at Penwern farm is a 19th-century structure built of rubble stonework, featuring a low-pitched slate roof. The open end of the carthouse faces north and does not have doors; it is weatherboarded over. Access to the granary on the upper level is provided by stone steps that include a quarter landing against the lateral wall at the south end. The upper floor has boarded doors and two small windows. The northwest corner of the wall is slightly battered, revealing the exposed foundations.
