Description

This is a Grade II listed classical granite war memorial, designed in the style of a cenotaph, situated on a stepped platform. It features a crucifix finial above a parapet, which is inscribed with "Coffa'r Dewr." The finial is connected to a wide and deep cornice by volute brackets. In the center, there are bronze tablets, which are flanked by paired polished Aberdeen marble columns that have polished slate capitals and bases. The outer columns are set back on the sides. The northeast side (rear) has a plain face.
