Description
This building is a two-storey, three-bay accommodation structure for a hearse-house, constructed from rubble with a pebbledash front, located outside the churchyard. It has a slate roof, which was formerly grouted. The first and ground floors feature 16-pane sash windows, with a smaller twinned sash window to the left above a six-panel door that previously had a gabled porch. There is a boot scraper set into the wall to the left of the door. To the left side, there is a return with a 16-pane sash window above a partially infilled opening. The right end has a boarded door above former cartshed doors, which are now part of No. 25.
The building has a single room depth on the ground floor, which has been altered with a later partition creating a narrow kitchen at the rear. The right internal wall contains a chimney breast, and there is a door to the right that leads to a now-blocked cartshed. Wooden stairs to the left include an understair cupboard. On the first floor, there is a WC at the head of the stairs, and the main room features a narrow chimney breast with another door to the right that is now blocked. A small room at the rear left has built-in shelving and a cupboard. Simple architraves and skirtings remain in place on the upper floor.
