Description

1 Chelsea Lane is a small house, likely built around 1811 in connection with the nearby chapel. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof. The house has two storeys and a symmetrical layout, with outer doorways, one of which on the left may provide access to the rear. The ground floor includes two 12-pane sash windows with flat arched brick heads, which are aligned with 9-pane sash windows located below the eaves on the upper floor. There is an axial stack, and the right-hand doorway has a four-panelled door set within a later timber gabled porch. This house is a well-preserved example of early 19th-century architecture and is part of a group with the Baptist Chapel.
