Description
This building, known as Parry Powell (Estate Agents), likely has an 18th-century front that belongs to an earlier structure. It stands three storeys high and features two windows, with cement rendering and incised coursing. The pitched slate roof is fitted with modern bargeboards and boxed eaves. The windows are double-hung sash and case types with glazing bars in flush frames, and there is a 19th-century projecting bay that is cantilevered at the first floor on the left side. The shop front is notable for its early design, which includes an overall cornice, bowed fascias, stall risers, quatrefoil panels, fluted brackets, and pilasters. There are two doorways accessed by steps, with No 46 featuring a six-panel door set in panelled reveals. Inside the shop, there are chamfered timber beams. The rear elevation includes two-light casements.
