Description
The Old Church of St. Tyssil is a building constructed in two parts, featuring masonry under a slate roof. The front section is made of partly coursed masonry and has a simple Neo-Classical entrance characterized by a high round arch with voussoirs and a keystone. A string course runs at the level where the arch springs. The entrance includes a planked door with planked infill beneath the arch. The rear section is built of random masonry and has a rear entrance that features a round undressed arch with a timber lintel. This entrance contains a planked, ledged door set within a timber frame, which does not extend to the ground, although the masonry below appears to be cut in. There was no access to the interior at the time of inspection.
