Description
Pen-y-clawdd Farmhouse is a stone building with an external render, featuring timber framed partitions inside and a slate roof. It has one storey and attics, with three wide bays. The framed and boarded door is located between the first and second bays from the left, set within an open timber framed and slated porch. The farmhouse has timber windows with leaded glazing, along with three gabled dormers made of uPVC, featuring two and three lights. There is an outsetting plinth at the base of the wall, and an external brick stack on the west gable end, with the tops rebuilt in the late 19th century. At the rear, there is a brick lean-to, as well as a lean-to at the east end with an asbestos sheet roof. Attached to the rear of the parlour end on the west side are farm buildings made of stone rubble, forming an 'L'-plan. A brick lean-to across the rear provides cover for the rear entrance. The interior is believed to contain timber framed partitions with wattle and daub infilling.
