Description
The Cefn (Newbridge) Railway Viaduct, partly located in Chirk Community, is a notable structure made of coursed and squared stone. It features a 19-arch span and stands 150 feet high. The arches are supported by slender piers that have continuous chamfered mouldings. Below the ashlar parapet, there is a modillion cornice. The terminal piers are pedimented and have stepped blocking courses above arched recesses that include keystones.
