Description
Whitehurst House is a two-storey stone building with a red tile roof, built in three bays. It features a one-bay kitchen at the rear that extends up to the garden wall, along with a later brick service lean-to added around 1900. The brick front has cogged eaves and includes two-light timber windows on either side of a new glazed garden door with a rendered surround. The left bay, which serves as a parlour, has a canted two-storey bay window topped with a part-conical roof, with two-light windows on each face. A recessed gabled entrance porch, added in the late 19th century, is located on the side and provides access to the stair hall at the rear. There is a stack on the northwest gable end and another on the rear wing.
