Cow-house with attached Cart-shed and Stables at Llangwryd Uchaf

The building is a large cow-house with attached cart-shed and stables located at Llangwryd Uchaf. It was constructed using rubble stone and features corrugated iron roofs. The front has three doorways, all with split doors beneath segmental brick heads. The central doorway is raised and leads to a threshing and feeding passage. The lofts above have three ventilation slits on either side of the passage, with further infilled ventilation slits below. There are late 20th-century metal-framed windows with ventilators at both ends.

To the left of the cow-house, a cart-shed and stable were added, also made of rubble stone and covered by a shallow-pitched corrugated iron roof. The cart-shed has a wide opening to the left with a rough timber lintel, a loft door above it, and a small two-light opening with a hatch to its right. A further stable with a loft hatch was added to the left end later. The rear elevation features a similar doorway with a segmental brick head leading to the through-passage, as well as a low doorway with a flat head at the far right. There are boarded loft hatches on both sides and ventilation slits at the far right.

Inside, the central through-passage has a flagstone floor and stone side walls leading to the lofts. At the rear of the passage, small doorways lead to feed passages that run at right angles, separated from the stalls by slate partitions, some of which remain. The structure includes sawn king-post trusses.
