Description
The building is a lofted cow house and stable located at Cefn Camberth. It is constructed from roughly coursed rubble stone with boulder footings and larger quoins, topped with a graded-slate roof behind coped gables. The openings feature stone lintels. Facing the yard to the southwest, the cow house has two boarded doors, while to its left, the stable has a boarded door flanked by windows that have replaced earlier openings. On the right gable end, the cow house includes a recessed boarded door and a loading doorway that has been infilled with corrugated iron. On the left gable end, the stable features a loading door that is glazed over, and to the left of this is a lean-to that projects beyond the rear of the building, which has a graded-slate roof, an open doorway, and a window.
Inside, the cow house has a three-bay roof supported by tie- and collar-beam trusses. The stable has a single similar truss, although the tie beam has been reused.
