Description

The Hydraulic Ram is a curved red brick structure featuring a central inspection shaft that is set into the ground. At the northern end, there is an offset arch-headed opening located just below ground level, which contains an iron gate. This opening is accessed by a flight of stone steps that are positioned between walls with flat tooled stone parapets. Although it was not inspected during the 1996 survey, it is reported to contain working valves and pipes.
