Description
Nos 6 and 7 Coed-derw are a pair of cottages that create a loosely symmetrical block. The design features lower single-window ranges on either side of a taller central block that has two stories and an attic with two windows. The flanking blocks are timber framed with square panels and brick noggings, raised on stone plinths, and have stone gable walls. The central block is made of painted brick, but it includes timber framing at the gable apex, which was likely added to the primary structure at a later date.
The entrance to No 7 is located in a gabled porch with a boarded door immediately to the left of the central gable, accompanied by a small-paned metal casement window to its left. No 6 mirrors this arrangement to the right of the central gable, but it also features a gabled dormer in the roof. The central gable is adorned with small-paned casement windows that have two and three lights, each with segmental brick heads on both floors, as well as a long window in the attic storey.
Inside No 7, there is a large living room on the ground floor that includes a gable fireplace and services located at the rear.
