Description
The Pavilion at Llay Miners Welfare Institute is a single-storey building that features a simplified version of the Edwardian Baroque style, adapted to fit its smaller scale. The exterior is finished with painted pebbledash and includes freestone dressings such as a plinth and channelled pilasters. It has a hipped green slate roof topped with a louvred bellcote. The central entrance is recessed and flanked by Doric columns. The windows are small pane casement types with high transoms, and there is a cross frame within the central porch, with three-light windows on either side. A late 20th-century enlargement has been added to the centre rear.
