Description
Lady's Bridge, located in Brynkinallt Park and extending into England, is a Grade II listed structure built from Cefn and Coed-yr-allt sandstones. The bridge features a single arch that spans approximately 12.7 meters and rises to 5.75 meters above the water. The arch is constructed of ashlar voussoirs with 'V'-cut joints leading up to a prominent keystone, and it is set proud of the rubble spandrels, springing between ashlar pilasters. The design includes a plat band and a crenellated ashlar parapet. The abutments are slightly splayed and terminate in rubble pilasters. On the Shropshire side, iron railings extend back to stone gatepiers, with the Lodge constructed from river boulders below.
