Description

The remains of the forge at Pont-y-blew include a tunnel arch featuring a segmental stone arch within a retaining wall. Above this arch is a blocked opening that once delivered water to two parallel sunken troughs, which are lined with stone. On the northern side, there is a curved wall that terminates in a rounded recess, which continues to serve as the retaining wall for the sunken area.
