Description
Halton Farmhouse is a large farmhouse built from rubble stonework and topped with a hipped slate roof. It has a double pile plan and consists of three floors and cellars. The main facade faces south and features three bays, with a central part-glazed four-panel door and a three-pane overlight, all now enclosed within a late 20th-century glazed porch. The ground and first floors have sixteen-paned sash windows, while there is a twelve-pane window above the door, all adorned with segmental stone arched heads. The attic floor contains six-paned sashes. To the left of the door, one window has been replaced with a metal French window that has a concrete lintel. The farmhouse has gable stacks. On the eastern end, there is a secondary lean-to building that has been added, featuring late 20th-century glazing and one leaded casement window on the upper floor. At the rear, there are only two storeys of sash windows. Additionally, a rendered service extension has been added, which includes a gable stack.
