Description
The Forge is a long, single-storey building with attics, constructed with a timber frame. The front is finished with colourwashed brick and features a slate roof. The timber framing is exposed on the gable facing the road. It has 19th-century timber 2-light windows set in openings with segmental heads, and there is an open timber-framed porch over a glazed door. At the eastern end, there is a second glazed door from the 20th century. The building includes four small gabled dormers with cut bargeboards, a central brick stack, and additional stacks at both ends on the lower slopes of the roof. There is also a lean-to at the western end.
