Description
The Coach House at Belan Place, dated 1845 with a possible earlier core, is an L-shaped stable building constructed from red sandstone rubble with yellow sandstone detailing and quoins, topped with a slate roof. The main elevation faces the courtyard and features two storeys, a cupola, and a weather vane, indicating various phases of construction. The ground floor has small-pane windows with brick voussoirs, along with two stable doors and two large arched doors leading to the adjoining coach house. The left-hand return elevation consists of a long single-storey range with a slate roof and ventilation cowls, which includes two wooden stable doors. Inside, the building retains 19th-century roof trusses and stalls.
