Description
Belan Place is a three-storey building constructed of red brick, with its main elevation facing west. The brickwork features Flemish bond and is complemented by rusticated stone quoins. The building is three bays wide, with the central bay slightly projecting and topped with a pediment. It has a slate roof and brick stacks.
At the ground floor, there are single-storey brick extensions that include later canted bay windows and a curved entrance porch. The porch features two arch-headed windows along the curve of the wall, a central glazed door with a margin light, and a stone shouldered architrave. The flanking bays are adorned with tripartite small-pane sash glazing. To the right, there is a later two-storey extension with a slate roof, which has renewed windows and a door.
Inside, the kitchen retains a large central recessed sandstone arch, flanked by two smaller arches that likely indicate the position of a former range. The interior also includes several high-quality mahogany six-panel doors. The barrel-vaulted red brick cellars contain original doors and slate shelves.
