Description
The School Lodge, which includes an attached colonnade, is a building constructed from sandstone rubble with dressed stone quoins and window surrounds, topped with a slate roof and stone chimneys. Designed in the Tudor-Gothic Revival style, the building features a single-storey range on the left and a two-storey range with paired gables on the right, alongside a lower lean-to range. The gables are adorned with stone copings and ball finials. The upper floor has two 2-light mullioned windows, while the lower floor has small windows that are placed irregularly. The left-hand return has an entrance in the single-storey range, and the attached colonnade consists of two columns and an entablature. At the rear, the gables also have stone copings and ball finials, with two 2-light mullioned windows on the upper floor. The ground floor features a mullioned and transomed bay window on the right and a mullioned and transomed window on the left.
