Description
Ruabon Railway Station is a single-storey building designed in the Tudor-Gothic Revival style. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar with rusticated quoins and features a slate roof with stone chimneys. The elevation facing the road includes projecting gabled wings at each end, which have stone copings and finials. Each wing contains a tall mullioned and transomed window, although these are partially blocked. The central range features a central mullioned and transomed window, with a doorway on each side that has a Tudor-arch head and dimpled spandrels. There are low ranges with an end stack set back, attached to the left and right sides. The platform elevation mirrors this design, with low flanking ranges that have blocked entrances and windows, while other openings are also blocked. The building is equipped with a cast-iron gutter supported by shaped brackets and cast-iron rainwater goods.
