New Sontley Farmhouse

New Sontley Farmhouse is a 2-storey building constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, topped with a hipped slate roof and featuring later 19th-century red Ruabon brick stacks. The farmhouse has a moulded stone plinth, cornice, and a low parapet. It is 7 bays wide, with the central 3 bays projecting forward and finished with a pediment. There is a central circular feature, possibly a clock, adorned with sandstone dressings. The central section has sandstone quoins, flanked by wings.

The ground floor windows have been altered and now feature cambered brick arch heads, with former flat brick arch heads still visible. The central door is covered by a later 19th-century wooden decorative porch that incorporates an ogee design. The first-floor windows appear to be in their original openings, all are 19th-century casements with earlier stone cills. To the left, there is a lower 2-storey extension, likely dating from a 19th-century conversion, which may have originally served as the servants' quarters.

The rear elevation shows various phases of rebuilding and includes 2 blocked archways with stone dressings and keystones. The west elevation has been completely refaced in red Ruabon brick. Inside, the farmhouse is said to contain a staircase and cornices from the 19th-century remodelling, and the servants' wing has a staircase that services the main house.
