Description

Home Farmhouse is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with black brick quoining and has a Welsh slate roof. The building features end stacks and has a double-depth, central-entry and stair plan, with a rear outshut. It stands two storeys high and has an almost symmetrical three-window range, topped with a cogged brick eaves cornice. The windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, all with rendered lintels and sills. The doorway has a surround with a moulded canopy and console brackets, and the door itself has fielded panels over plain panels, along with a rectangular overlight. The left side of the house, which faces Frolesworth Road, includes two three-light windows under segment arches and a very small deeply recessed window that lights the outshut.
