Description
This is a two-storey, four-window building, likely dating from the 18th century, situated on Park Street. It presents a symmetrical facade constructed of roughlycoursed and squared sandstone rubble, with dressed stone quoins. The building has a hipped slate roof, featuring two octagonal stone chimneys, one of which is rendered. A stone canopy covers the paired central entrances, although the doors have been altered. The windows are topped with hoodmoulds; those on the ground floor are significantly eroded, while those on the upper level have been restored. The left-hand return features paired entrances beneath a shared stone canopy, with the right-hand return now containing a window in place of a former entrance. Mirroring this arrangement, the right-hand return reflects the design of the left-hand return. The original cottages retain their basic plan, and some original stairs and blocked corner fireplaces remain.
