Description
4 Park Street is a 2-storey building with a symmetrical elevation featuring four windows. It is constructed from roughly coursed and squared sandstone rubble, with dressed stone quoins. The hipped slate roof is topped with two octagonal stone chimneys, one of which is rendered. There are paired central entrances that share a stone canopy, although the doors have been altered. The windows are fitted with hoodmoulds; those on the ground floor are badly eroded, while those on the upper level have been restored.
The left-hand return of the building has paired entrances beneath a shared stone canopy, although the entrance on the right has been converted into a window. The right-hand return mirrors the left-hand return. Overall, the two-unit cottages maintain their basic plan, with some original stairs and blocked corner fireplaces still present.
